My Story
The dedicated study of yoga has not always been on my life’s bucket list. Over 26 years ago, my practice started when a friend invited me to join her. Before that, I didn’t think yoga was something that I could fit into an already full and busy life. However, my friend provided the encouragement that time for yoga was essential to my well being. From that point forward, I practiced on-and-off for over two decades. Sometimes I was in the studio regularly and other times, it would be weeks between sessions. When I traveled for work, sometimes I would drop into a yoga class in whatever city I was visiting.
The broad spectrum of yoga offered in the United States can be overwhelming to understand and intimidating to explore. In building my confidence, I tried different styles and studios. Some classes sang to my soul and others left me feeling “meh.” Gathering tidbits of wisdom along the way opened a process of self-discovery. I learned what sparked energy, delight, and peace in me. Inspirational instructors influenced the paths I could take on my journey and encouraged me to be more purposeful in what I presently study. Yoga itself is comprised of eight limbs so knowing where to begin can be a mystery. I discovered that it can take starts and stops to find the right fit for each person.
I am excited to become a part of the community that Lisa Theis is building at Third Eye Yoga in Littleton, Colorado. Centered Yoga Denver is my company that operates from Third Eye Yoga, from my home or your home, and from workshops locations. Keep in mind that the pricing for classes may differ depending on the location and type.
Some of my classes are physically tough and mentally challenging. In other classes you are invited to be still, developing patience in your mind and spirit and allowing your body to speak its needs to you. Regardless of what class you choose, I look forward to meeting you and to sharing the journey of yoga together.
Warmly, Andrea
